Social media offers an excellent tool for association's to expand their communities’ communication, government affairs meetings and events, participation in non-dues revenue programs and membership retention and recruitment. A social media strategy will have a positive impact on your brand recognition. The key to success is a clearly thought-out plan. 

Dave Serino will give you the tools you need to craft an effective strategy to achieve measurable results for your association through social media. Attend and learn how out how to develop a social media plan to get your association started on the path to success. Dave assisted MSAE with the creation of a social media plan for the Legislative Conference. He will show how it was effectively implemented from the positioning of MSAE with decision makers as well as marketing the meeting to increase attendance.

Dave Serino

Dave Serino is a travel and event industry veteran who has leveraged internet technologies to drive the sales and marketing process for the past 15 years. Prior to founding Gammet Interactive in 2000, Dave held sales and marketing positions at resort hotels and convention and visitors bureaus. He deployed his first website in 1995 and conducted his first internet based promotional programs with the Ann Arbor Art Fairs in the summer of 1996. Presently, his focus is on the marketing and promotion of destinations, events and organizations through the use of online mediums that include targeted display advertising, e-mail marketing, search engine optimization and social media.

To-date, his organization has serviced clients in all sectors of the travel, tourism and hospitality industry – including special events and association management organizations. Dave has presented educational sessions and workshops at more than 75 industry conferences and venues. In the summer of 2004, he launched the successful e-Marketing Insight Conference - an annual program focused on internet marketing trends within the travel industry. Dave is a featured presenter in the Certified Destination Management Executive Program (CDME) which is conducted by Purdue University and sponsored by the Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI).

 Cancellation Policy Minimize

All cancellations/refunds must be submitted in writing to the MSAE office. A 10% administrative fee will be charged for any and all cancellations and refund requests. Substitutions are accepted in lieu of cancellation and will be charged the appropriate registration fee if different from original registration. Refunds will not be granted within 5 business days of the event.
