MSAE offers a full menu of health care benefits for our members. Each health plan can be purchased individually, it is not required that you participate in all programs. The only requirement for participation is that you are a member in good standing with MSAE – which allows coverage for your entire family and none of the programs require your entire staff to participate, you only pay for those who participate. Group Health Insurance

• Coverage available through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan
• Available to members with two or more participants in the same office
• Choose from Blue Cross Blue Shield’s full menu of small group plans
• Lower group rates
• Variety of prescription drug coverage options to choose from
• Entire family covered with one membership to MSAE
• All associations and nonprofits are eligible for coverage

Individual Health Insurance

• Coverage available through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan
• No medical underwriting – all MSAE members are guaranteed acceptance
• Two coverage options to choose from:
   • CMM 250
   • Community Blue Option 6
• Prescription coverage on both plans - $10.00 – generic/$20.00 – brand name
• Supplemental to Medicare plan offers excellent coverage including prescription drug coverage at $10/$20 rate
• Both Medicare and non-Medicare recipients covered on same policy

Dental Insurance

• Coverage available through Delta Dental Insurance of Michigan
• Fully insured program offering two levels of coverage
• Subscribers can choose from two Delta Premier programs
• Each program has three classes of benefits:
   • Diagnostic and preventative
   • Restorative
   • Orthodontics
• Dependent coverage until age 25 for full-time students
• You may choose any dentist licensed to practice in the state
• Coverage is by individual, does not require group purchase

Vision Insurance

• Coverage available through VSP Eye Care Benefits
• Fully insured program covers annual eye exams, lenses, frames or contact lenses from a VSP doctor
• Co-payments and covered allowances vary with type of service
• Value added discounts on:
   • Laser surgery 
   • Contact supplies
   • Non-covered prescription glasses
• Coverage is by individual, does not require a group purchase
• Two-year commitment
• Enrollment twice a year – December and June for coverage beginning in January and July
