MSAE Introduces the Emerging Professionals Group Friday, January 29, 2010 ( reads)
Aaron D. Wolowiec, CAE, CMP, MSA, Director, Education & Associate Partnerships for the Health Care Association of Michigan has been appointed chairman of MSAE’s newest initiative: providing a platform for emerging professionals in the association industry to connect. The network is open to anyone under the age of 35 or new to the association community within the last 18 months that is employed by a MSAE member.

Supreme Court Rules on Campaign Spending Tuesday, January 26, 2010 ( reads)
The Supreme Court ruled last week that the government cannot restrict corporate spending in elections, and corporations, unions and special interest groups can use general treasury funds to pay for issue ads running just before an election. The 5-4 decision, reversing two previous court decisions, represents a significant shift in campaign finance law, and could have a significant impact on the 2010 elections.

Your association’s website likely has Terms and Conditions which govern a member’s or visitor’s rights with respect to the content of the website and/or the dealings with the association vis-à-vis the website.
Website Terms and Conditions may vary from a single page up to a 20-page document, and usually address many important legal issues, such as what uses a member (or third party) may make of the content, limitations of liability, warranties, jurisdiction, mandatory arbitration, copyright and trademark protection and resolution, and a host of other critical provisions. However, the fact that they are posted on your website does not mean that they will be legally enforceable.
