Behind The Scenes 

Experience what it takes to make an event a memorable experience; a glimpse into the people, processes and products that make events successful. 

The EduTour provide exciting ways to learn outside of a typical conference setting. Attendees will venture into the city and visit local small businesses for a hands-on look at the unique practices that make them successful.

All buses will depart at 8:00 a.m. and return by 4:00 p.m.

Earn Continuing Education Credits 
EduTours are tentatively worth 4 CEs for CAE and CMP certification/recertification. These hours have not been submitted for pre-approval. Attendees will need to manually submit CMP hours to the EIC.

Michigan Legacy Art Park
9:00 - 10:00 a.m.

Michigan Legacy Art Park is a sculpture park dedicated to sharing the stories of the people, events and natural resources that continue to shape the legacy of Michigan. Contemporary artists interpret these stories through outdoor sculpture. With over 50 great works of art, the Art Park provides a rich cultural experience for thousands of visitors annually.




The Garden Theater
10:30 a.m. - 11:45 p.m.

Originally built in 1923 and renovated beginning in 2008, the Garden Theater shows first-run, independent and foreign films, and is home to the annual Frankfort Film Festival. Presentations on sustainability and creative venue ideas with representatives from The Garden Theater, Graceland Fruit and the Oliver Art Center.

 

Oliver Art Center
12:00 - 1:30 p.m.

Join up with those working on the Community Service Project for a networking lunch at a cultural cornerstone of Benzie County.

 

Frankfort Beach
1:45 - 2:15 p.m.

Take advantage of this photo opportunity at Frankfort Beach, located on the beautiful Lake Michigan.

 

Iron Fish Distillery
2:45 - 3:45 p.m.

Iron Fish Distillery is Michigan’s first working farm solely dedicated to the practice of distilling small-batch craft spirits. Discover their grain-to-glass best practices that respect the health of nearby watersheds. Every step of the process – from growing and harvesting non GMO grain to cultivating native yeast, milling, mashing, fermenting, distilling, aging and bottling – is done by hand.
