Professional Bio
Ara Topouzian is Executive Director of the Michigan Venture Capital Association (MVCA), where he leads efforts to strengthen Michigan’s entrepreneurial and venture investment ecosystem. He works closely with policymakers, investors, and founders to advance innovation, promote investment opportunities, and guide the association’s strategic growth.
With a background spanning economic development, association leadership, and community building, Ara is known for driving membership growth, building strong partnerships, and creating impactful programs. He previously served as Economic Development Director for the City of Novi and as President and CEO of the Troy Chamber of Commerce.
An experienced speaker and facilitator, Ara regularly engages business and community audiences with practical leadership insights and storytelling. He is also an award-winning Armenian-American musician, bringing a creative and cultural perspective to his work.
