Professional Bio
Bonnifer Ballard is the CEO of the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA), where she leads the implementation of the organization’s strategic plan alongside a small staff team. With a focus on education, community, advocacy, and resources, Ballard and her team are maximizing the association’s resources to achieve the greatest impact on veterinarians and animal health in Michigan. Throughout her career, she has held leadership roles with a variety of scientific, health, and human rights organizations, bringing deep association management experience to her work.
Ballard holds the Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Cleary University and a master’s degree in leadership development from North Central College. A U.S. Navy veteran, Ballard lives in West Michigan with her husband, Todd, and their four dogs—Nala, Jack, Duke, and Ralph.
