Organization Overview

The Community Mental Health Association of Michigan (CMHAM) is a statewide organization that supports and advocates for Michigan’s public mental health system, helping ensure people across all 83 counties have access to quality community-based services for mental health conditions, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders. While CMHAM is not a direct provider of mental health or treatment services, it works with local community mental health agencies, healthcare providers, government partners, and community organizations to strengthen behavioral health services through education, training, policy advocacy, and workforce development, while promoting recovery, inclusion, and overall wellness for Michigan residents.
