Professional Bio

Jennifer Faris Jones serves as the E.D. of the Mecosta County CVB, where she leads regional tourism development, strengthens community partnerships, and promotes not only Mecosta County but also its surrounding areas and communities. Her work focuses on building collaborative, cross-county initiatives that support economic vitality and elevate the visitor experience throughout the broader region. Jennifer brings extensive hospitality experience, including management of a privately owned biker campground and the City of Scottville’s municipal campground, with a bachelor’s degree in business with concentrations in accounting and human resources. Her studies at Ferris State University and Baker College further support her grounded, community-centered leadership approach.
Jennifer’s roots run deep across West Michigan. She grew up in both Hersey and Chase, graduated from Reed City, and raised her children in Big Rapids before spending nearly a decade in Trenary. Her lifelong commitment to service includes volunteering as a firefighter, supporting 4-H and Girl Scouts, and contributing to numerous community organizations over the years. She currently serves as Vice President of the Reed City Chamber, sits on several various boards, and remains actively involved in Rotary.
Her motivation is deeply personal rooted in her love for her grandchildren and her desire to help build a region where future generations choose to live, work, and thrive. She believes that improving today lays the foundation for a vibrant tomorrow.
Jennifer also remains professionally engaged on a larger scale as a member of the WWA, D.I., and AHLA, bringing industry insights and best practices back to the communities she serves.
“I believe thriving regions are built on healthy communication and true collaboration, when communities, partners, and visitors connect with purpose, everyone grows.”
Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys motorcycles, kayaking, and camping.
