In the position of Business Development Manager, I am responsible for promoting and selling Ann Arbor and the Washtenaw County region as a premier destination for meetings, conferences, and events. This role will focus on developing and maintaining relationships with key clients, including national associations, corporate groups, SMERF, corporate, government and Meeting Professionals, to drive room-night bookings and economic impact for the local community. Focused on all markets in states east of the Mississippi River, excluding Association business and all markets in Michigan and Ohio. Managing all Association business specifically within Washington, DC., Maryland, and Virginia.

I am a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) with twenty plus years of experience in hospitality. I held the position of National Sales Manager for MGM Grand Detroit, Associate Director of Sales for the Marriott Detroit Metropolitan Airport, and Director of Group Sales at the Westin Detroit Metropolitan Airport. I have belonged to a number of professional organizations, including the ASAE, Center of Association Leadership; PCMA, Professional Conference Management Association (serving on the Membership Committee); AMPS, Association of Meeting Professionals (serving on the Membership/Hospitality Committee);MSAE, Michigan Society of Association Executives; APACC –Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce; Member of Global Gaming Women (established by the American Gaming Association). Currently, National Coalition of Black Meeting Professionals, (serving on the Membership Committee-Past Co-Chair); MPI - Meeting Planners International, Potomac Chapter, (serving on the Certification, and Career Development Committee, Co-Chair of the CMP Prep Course Committee).
