🙌 Fisher Named to Governor’s Council on Fitness, Health & Sports

Governor Gretchen Whitmer has appointed Nichole Fisher, CMP,  Executive Director of mParks, to the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness, Health, and Sports. Established in 1992, the Council works to improve health and increase physical activity among Michigan residents. Fisher’s appointment reflects the natural alignment between mParks’ mission of advancing community wellness through parks and recreation and the Council’s statewide efforts to encourage healthier, more active lifestyles. The Council promotes healthier living by increasing physical activity, encouraging good nutrition, and supporting community-based wellness initiatives, while also recognizing outstanding efforts through programs such as the Governor’s Fitness Awards.
