MSAE: Tell us about your family, pets, and where you call home.
JT: My husband John, myself and my one-year old daughter Leah live in Bath, MI. We are expecting baby #2 in February! 
    MSAE: What do you do for fun or to relax?

    JT: I love to travel, workout, swim, and spend time with family. 

    MSAE: How did you first become involved with MSAE, and what motivated you to do so?

    JT: I was working with the Muscular Dystrophy Association and I was attending networking events. Colleagues encouraged me to get involved with MSAE to grow my network. 

    MSAE: What made you want to join MSAE's Board of Directors? 

    JT: MSAE is a wonderful organization. I wanted to be part of it and help make it even better. Board service also allows me to grow my network, sharpen my skills, and increase visibility! 

    MSAE: What message or advice would you like to share with other members who might be considering getting more involved?

    JT: Being involved with MSAE will provide opportunities to grow your network, gain exposure to new skills, and help elevate your career! 

    MSAE: Tell us a little bit about your experience working with or for associations. 

    JT: I have worked with associations since 2012. I was the Executive Director for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the Michigan Council of Nurse Practitioners, and Executive Director of Programs for the Michigan Association of Broadcasters. 

    MSAE: What other board work, volunteering, or side work do you do?

    JT: I volunteer for Kids' Food Basket, Habitat for Humanity, and the American Red Cross. 

    MSAE: Is there anything else we should know about you? 

    JT: I am very adaptable. I take ideas and run with them. I love to watch others succeed and I enjoy learning new things everyday!
