One of MSAE’s greatest strengths is the people who make up our association community. Different experiences, different organizations, different career paths, and a shared commitment to making Michigan’s association community stronger.

Now, we’re looking for engaged members who are ready to bring their perspectives to MSAE’s Board of Directors.

The Leadership Identification & Development Committee is currently seeking interested candidates for:

  • Four At-Large seats (3-year term)
  • One Industry Partner seat (2-year term), and
  • One Association Management Company seat (2-year term)

Board service is an opportunity to help shape MSAE’s direction and ensure the organization continues to deliver meaningful value to the association professionals and partners it serves. MSAE’s Board is its governing body, responsible for providing oversight, establishing desired outcomes, adopting policy, and stewarding the organization’s resources.

As we build this year’s slate, the committee will be considering diversity in its broadest sense.  We want strong representation from association professionals and executives, whose work and experiences are at the heart of MSAE’s mission.

You do not have to wait for someone else to decide you are “board material.” If you care about MSAE, have ideas about how we can better serve Michigan’s association community, and are willing to contribute your time, experience and perspective, we want to hear from you.

Any MSAE Regular member in good standing is eligible to be nominated for the Board.

If someone in the MSAE community comes to mind who would be an exceptional addition to the Board, we want to hear that, too.

👉 Please share your interest or submit a nomination via this form by August 30, 2026.

MSAE is stronger when more voices, experiences and perspectives are part of the conversation. I hope you’ll consider adding yours.
